Lensvira & LensviraConnect
Delete Your Account
Last updated: April 25, 2026
This page explains how to delete your Lensvira / LensviraConnect account and what happens to your data. Both apps share one user account — deleting from either app removes everything.
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Once deleted, you'll need to sign up with a new phone number to use Lensvira or LensviraConnect again.
How to delete your account
Option 1 — From inside the app (recommended)
Available in both Lensvira and LensviraConnect:
1
Open Lensvira or LensviraConnect and sign in.
2
Go to Settings (the rightmost tab).
3
Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
4
Follow the prompts: review what will be deleted, enter your PIN (if you have one set), and type DELETE to confirm.
Option 2 — Email request
If you can't access either app, email koustavbhowmik.email@gmail.com from the phone number you registered with. Subject line: "Delete my Lensvira account". We'll process the request within 7 business days.
What gets deleted
The following data is permanently removed from our systems:
- Your profile (name, phone number, avatar, cover photo)
- Photographer profile (bio, city, state, packages, gear, portfolio photos and videos, available dates, UPI ID, per-event rate)
- Contractor / business profile (business name, address, GSTIN, SAC code, registration number, business phone)
- Friends list and connections
- All notifications
- Wallet history and balance
- App PIN (PBKDF2 hash and salt)
- FCM push notification token
- Your Firebase authentication account (your phone number is freed for re-registration)
- All files you uploaded to your own profile (avatar, cover, portfolio media, gear images) from our R2 storage
What we keep (and why)
Some data is retained even after account deletion for legal compliance, audit purposes, and to preserve records of users you've worked with. This is required by Indian tax law (GST records must be kept for 8 years) and standard business practice.
- Booking and payment records — retained for tax and audit compliance. Your name appears as "Deleted User" to other parties on these records.
- Projects you created (as a contractor) — anonymized but kept; the photographers and clients you worked with still need this for their own records.
- Files you uploaded to other people's projects — those belong to the project owner (the contractor who hired you), not to you.
- Anonymized account row — a shell record (no personal info) is kept indefinitely so historical references like "Photographer X delivered 200 photos for this project" remain meaningful.
Retention period for retained data
| Data type | Retention period |
| Financial records (bookings, payments, invoices) | 8 years (per Indian GST law) |
| Anonymized account row | Indefinite (no personal data; foreign-key reference) |
| Server logs (IP addresses, request logs) | 90 days |
| Files in others' projects | Until that project is deleted by its owner |
Before you delete
Account deletion is blocked if you have any of the following — the app will tell you what to do:
- Active or upcoming projects (as a contractor) — please cancel or complete them first
- Pending or accepted future bookings (as a photographer) — please decline them or wait until they're complete
- Wallet balance > 0 — please withdraw it before deleting
